Provenzano Alliance Destroyed

About a week ago a few hundred players of Omerta logged on to find that they were dead. Unknown to them, during the night a terrible war had wiped out three families, and they had been abandoned by their own allies. These players were those in the Provenzano, Bruinsma, Navarra, and Hatrickelli families.
A few days back the Lucchese of Palermo had been arguing with the Provenzano/Bruinsma Alliance over spots in Palermo claimed by the Alliance. However, in every version of Omerta the Lucchese have always ended up fighting the Provenzano Family, which makes me wonder if “spots” really was the reason for this war.
